ADULTS $2, 6-11 YEARS $1.  5 & UNDER Free This is not a state park and the admissions are used to keep this valuable historic site open.

DIRECTIONS

Old Fort Parker Historic site is located between Mexia & Groesbeck in Limestone County Texas, 

1 mile off HWY 14 on Park Road 35.The fort is situated 99 miles south of Dallas: 150 miles north of Houston

Open to the public all day.

0700-0800 Breakfast (meals on your own)

0830-8:45: Officers meeting- block house, main gate

 0900-0915: Opening Ceremony: Posting of the Flags of the American Colonial period (British, French, Spanish and the United States of America.

9:17-10:00: Militia muster and pay

0915-1130: Merchants and trade blankets open; craft and trade demonstrations; hunting skills and military drill and musketry.  Living history activities around the camps.

10:00pm Military drill (order TBD)

1130-1:00pm:  Lunch (meals on your own)

1:00-4:00pm:  Craft and trade demonstrations; hunting skills and military drill and musketry.  Merchants and trade blankets; Living history activities around the camps.

4:00: Closing Ceremony: Retiring the Colors.

5:00-7:00: Dinner (on your own)

7:00pm   Meeting of participants

1:00: 18th Century Fashion Show (Civilian and Military) (inside the fort)

1:00- 2:30:  Historical Fencing Demonstration, (inside the Fort)

2:30- Auction

2:45- 3:30:   18th Century Military Tactical 

4:00:  Closing Ceremony: Retiring the Colors.

5:00-7:00: Community meal
